Gerald Hill - Head Instructor

Brown Belt (2 Stripes) - Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu
Robin Gieseler, Relson Gracie Acadamy, Columbus, Ohio
Started training after the 2nd UFC in 1994. Went to Royce Gracie seminars and competed in Jeff Hudson's 1st tournament in Columbus, Ohio. Received a certificate for Self-Defense from Carlson Gracie in 1997. In 1998 he received his blue belt from Jean Jacques Machado while training a private lesson with his friend Chris Blanke. In October of 2003, he received his purple belt from Saulo and a stripe in 2005. On May 13th 2008 he received another stripe from Robin Gieseler, a black belt under Relson Gracie who is an instructor at the Relson Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Academy - North Columbus Chapter. Gerald received a 3rd stripe on his purple belt on February 8th, 2009 and his 4th stripe on August 11th, 2009. Gerald was promoted to a Brown belt on February 21st, 2010.

Gerald Hill started training Tae Kwon Do from a student of Moo Duk Kwon named Joe Davis in the early 1970's. Gerald did not have the money to take classes at the time, but Joe offered to show Gerald some of the blocks and kicks that he knew from his training. After some time, Gerald's father sent him to the Korean Karate School of Higher Learning and after a few years he became a Red Belt with a black stripe.

He then transferred to the Oriental Martial Arts Center where he learned Olympic style U.S.T.U Tae Kwon Do, Muay Thai and Kickboxing, and also Kali stick fighting.

In 1996 - O.M.A.C. 3rd Dan Black Belt

In 1999 he received his 4th degree black belt from American Martial Arts Mr. Ted Ricketts, Mr. Cooper, and Mr. Jamie Livergood. He was tested at Heidelburg college in Tiffin, Ohio in front of black belts from 8 countries and 17 states. In 2003 he was promoted to O Dahn 5 degree black belt by sensai Phillip Porter and 6th dan in 2006. Gerald thanks Mr. Jamie Livergood and Master Kim Leiter for making his last three promotions possible.
